Is this normal?

This unit isn’t mine but someone on FB has been having an issue.

Is this a standard Sargent fitting or has the solar regulator been changed in the past?

The unit is a Sargent EC328.

I don't think so, Sargent normally fit a small black one but they could have changed or been out of stock so fitted whatever cheapie they could get hold of.

It seems that the EC328 does normally have a duel output solar controller fitted ( I do not know which make) to charge both starter and leisure batteries through the PSU but the one in the photo appears to be missing a negative connection on batt 1 terminal needed for it to work with duel charging ?

bigtwin ,If it is any help the solar controller shown looks the same as the one shown in the www.sargentltd.co.uk shop although without the EP Solar logo.
