What to add another socket to the MH, but not sure of the colour. Images online are not conclusive. I believe Clipsal have White, Beige and Honey, but white isn't white as far as I can tell. I need to replace the back box on the one shown as the screw retaining lug has broken off. Might try super glue first though. But anyone know for sure the colour and a source. O' learys dont appear to have any matching this colour.

Suppose I would just replace with white household sockets if needed, probably work out cheaper with a dry wall back box and new socket.

Household can be stark white and unlike the one pictured, have sharp corners. I cannot recall where but I am sure the type you want are on sale.

If you buy domestic 13A sockets make sure they are double pole .. (ie. switch both live and neural)

A good make is MK , and as you say , cheaper than 'caravan ' sockets

You could also upgrade and have sockets with USB ports ..

No, plenty of household sockets with soft corners now.

Thats interesting, why double pole. I didn't think the Clipsal ones were. Also not sure you can get DP 1-gang sockets with USB. SP yes but not DP.

it's a safety precaution,

if you have reverse polarity and you switch off, and don't unplug, the appliance would still have a Live feed

I get that and presume thats a non UK possibility i.e. EHU in France with reverse polarity. Unlikely to be an issue in the UK, but get the reasons why.

Saw the link you posted on Screwfix, review isn't particularly good, but could be down to the installer.

I need to check the consumer unit in our MH to see if it has DP circuit breakers. Presume it should have to meet standards.

Irrespective of the risk of reverse polarity I would only fit DP 13A sockets in a home or a motorhome,

but it's entirely your choice..

MK are generally considered to be top quality, it's the only make I would install or recommend.

surprised that a qualified electrician (allegedly) had a problem with the connections on an MK product ..

Caravan Parts carry clipsol switches
Yes but they don't have what I want as far as I can see.

Think I'm going to install my own with USB built in. Lot let hassle and cheaper to.
