Looking to order a Frogstar lithium battery
the 280 amp is £820 and the 300amp is £930
l don’t think it’s worth spending £110 for an additional 20amps or am I missing something?
thanks in advance

18 pence per amp (thereabouts) more expensive for the bigger one. Does the bigger one fit? Can you afford it? 20amps not that much really, 7 percent or so increase. But if the semi-annual bonus was generous go for it!

I think it is far more economical for them to assemble the 280ah in their presumably bulk ordered cases?
Otherwise makes little sense the 300ah is more expensive per "AH". (It wasn't always).

Thanks for your reply
both batteries are the same size and I could fit 2 if required but that is likely overkill for me
not to sure on your maths the additional 20 amps is £110 so more like £5.20 per amp
thanks again

Sorry I meant the overall cost per ah, not the additional.

I agree the 280amp seems to be the better choice

Before you shell out on any lithium batteries, ensure your vehicles charging system and alternator, are suitable to deal with the lithium battery’s requirements.

No problem with the charging arrangements
I have fitted extra solar on the roof 300 watts and a Renogy B2B which can be configured to work with the Lithium Battery
