IQ mobile

Just had email in from them, seems the same deal as popit £75 for 100gb
That seems expensive and you cannot use much in EU
We have a generous "Fair use policy" when abroad. If you order 100GB, you get 100GB in UK and 25GB in EU at full speed. You can roam within the EU for 6 months out of 12 in the year. We don't mind how you split that time up.

No it's all to be used in EU there's another thread on it .

The email main text is as follows:
Dear xxxx

We’ve had some exciting developments with our IQ Go roaming bundles. Effective immediately we now have the 100GB bundle back available for purchase with no fair usage cap in the EU.
Yes, you heard that right! The most popular roaming bundle is back and there is no cap on usage. We have also been able to remove the duration for which you can roam for – so it can now be used all year round! Read on for more information and how you can take advantage of this new development.

How does it work?
It works exactly as it did before, you can top up your IQ Go SIM card with the new ‘100GB no fair use’ bundle, it lasts for one month like previously. And if you use it all up then you can just buy another and maintain your super-fast internet connection. There is no need to miss that episode of Corrie! Or deal with that French or Spanish operator who does not understand your needs like we do.

How much does it cost?
It’s £75 for the 100GB, un-metered, un-restricted and still no need for a VPN!
All our other bundles remain unchanged and are still available for purchase in the normal way.

Will I need to do anything with my router or SIM?
No, the SIM will remain exactly as it was before, £20 for the year, then when you go away you simply buy the bundle specifying the Date you want it and the SIM to put it on, then we take care of the rest. The (APN) settings also remain unchanged.

How can I buy it?
The bundle is live now on our site - https://helloiq.co.uk/collections/iq-go/products/iq-go-data-options-no-fair-use And you will receive the same unmatched, super responsive friendly support from our UK Team of experts over WhatsApp, email, or phone!

What else is IQ working on?
If this new bundle isn’t for you, don’t fret we’re also working on some alternative options with other suppliers, whilst this one has lots of benefits such as:

  • Not having to change SIMs
  • Keep the router settings the same
  • Benefit from the EE roaming partners and fantastic coverage when in the UK.
However, if you are looking for alternative options we are working on those as well, and maintain anyone loyal to the IQ Go service will be offered a free migration to any new service we launch where a new SIM and new router settings might be required as well as free support in getting setup and onboarded.

For now, we hope you are ready for hassle-free, uninterrupted roaming with no fair use and the same great support!
As always, thanks for being an IQ customer, if you have got any questions contact me or the team on the details below and we would be delighted to cover any questions you might have

I wrote to them a week or two back to ask as well since I was sad to see the original service withdrawn - had used in France with great success.
The second 'under development' part may be a lower cost option from another provider, and they need to investigate some infrastructure additions in the back end (VPNs etc) in order to make traffic appear like it originated in the UK so iPlayer etc. works.

I thought starlink. - we have it at home, but on the starlink site it says £96/month unlimited. I thought it was £85. Oh well, UK Corporate finds a way to screw us again. I don't know what we are going to do next year. It's ridiculously expensive either way.

Got all excited until I saw the cost, virtually the same as Starlink!
I thought Starlink had effectively a “fair use” limitation (however they call it)?

Plus I’ll certainly not be putting any more money in the pocket of Musk!

And does nobody on here check for other recent posts before starting a new thread, effectively duplicating/triplicating an existing one?
