Hi all, may be of help! I have an iPad Pro with the (C) connection for charging, I noticed the battery was not charging and as away in Portugal and using it a lot thought opps! Tried a different lead etc, googled about cleaning the socket with a new toothbrush etc no good. Looked on Apple for a local repair was advised up to £350 to repair. Thought give it one more go using tooth pickers that had like a rubberised coating. Carefully rubbed all around the male tab in the socket plugged lead in all now works. Obviously the. Pin is delicate but it would appear over time the surface had dirt buildup and a soft toothbrush was not enough?
Hope this may help anyone with the same problem

That’s a good job done! Apple connectors bung up and get dirty very easily, seems to me
I’ve been reduced to using a fine cocktail stick (gently!) to remove the accumulated cr@p, especially from Lightning connectors, Apple’s previous efforts 😊
