Internet connection with router with smarty sim

I have a smarty sim in my Hauwei router and the screen says I have signal and the phone says I have internet but when I try to open something it says I am not connected to server . I am in France at the moment and I have changed the apn as per instructions from smarty .
Is there any funsters out there that can help please

Did you activate the smarty in the UK?

Probably a sim activation issue. Try contacting Motorhome WiFi if it's one of their units, Adam is very helpful.

Have you got the right APN settings?
With some sims you have to change them when roaming.

I went on smarty and changed the apn for going abroad before leaving England
