International driving permit?

Do I need an idp for France, Spain, Portugal after B****T
OR (depending on weather)
France, Belgium, Netherlands,, Germany, Czech, Austria,Hungary,Romania, Bulgaria
Going to Europe for a 4 week trip on Friday and can’t find definitive info, it looks like I don’t need one but can anyone confirm please?

I would just get both ,the one year one and the three year one (if you are in doubt ) to be safe against any uniformed police officers. They cost about £6 each at post office.

I have an old paper driving license with no photo so decided to get an IDP.
I think in the EU, plod expect to see a photo license and if you can't produce one it may cause difficulties.
For 5 quid and a trip to the PO it's worth getting one.
