Also had this on site. Smaller than Boxer but with spare pair of wheels and turret replaced with raising roof. Sounded very heavy duty engine when they started it really early in morning about 60 minutes after 7am. Possibly not too economical on fuel

its a pinzgauer austrian ex mil , most likely 4 cyl petrol , some later had vw tdi .

The Land Rover Defender is a 130 High Capacity pickup with some demountable camper. They have a turning circle similar to a London bus.

Correct but fitted with V6 and auto box..No gas on board..leccy cooking and fridge..diesel heating..BUSBY

Demountables seem like a good compact solution although I wonder how much hassle it is to actually demount the things. The center of gravity always seems quite high and can't aid stability either.
