Hi MHer's,,not brought my MH yet,but saw a post where people were having trouble insuring MHs over 10 years old ,,is this correct?

Was it possibly recovery/breakdown insurance that was the issue? Can’t find the post myself but somewhere at the back of my mind someone has had a problem getting European cover for an older van?

I know with our breakdown cover only the cars under 10 years old have full cover. My 1997 Landy, and the 1976 MG Midget I did have, only had recovery to our house.

I know breakdown cover on vehicles over 20 years can often be an issue but no problems with insurance..

Maybe you read the posts about Full-time insurance because Comfort won’t cover Motorhomes older than 10 years with F/T policy.

My 6.5m m/h is 23 yrs old and I'm 73 and drive one-armed (motorbike injury). Insurance and breakdown cover (total premium £320 p.a) never been a problem with Comfort.

Picking my 11 year old Bessacarr E460 motorhome at the weekend I've just insured with Adrian Flux broker fully comp with breakdown cover just over 300 they mirrored my no claims from other policies.
