Insurance - tracker limit changes

Anyone noticed any changes this year?

Prior to last year, with A-Plan, no issues but on renewal they said I needed a CAT5 tracker, so I had to go elsewhere. Called the underwriter (KGM) and they said they needed tracker over £40k.

This year, called A-Plan again, and now they say KGM limit is £60k - and when I said I was surprised it must've gone up, they were surprised!

(Also been able to get quotes from other companies, last year was almost impossible)

So anyone noticed the change?

No change with LV on renewal this year - no requirement for tracker or alarm but must have reversing sensors/camera and dashcam as previously.

Some insurance companies insist on a Cat 5 tracker and some give a discount for having one. Other than a Cat 2 immobiliser which should be standard it seems the only security devices they recognise as being useful are Cat 5 trackers.
