Insurance renewal

Hi all,

We‘re with Comfort Insurance at present and the renewal cost has risen considerably for this year. We have a one year old Pilote 626 Evidence. Does anyone have any recommendations for good value insurance company.

Just renewed our Pilote 696g with LV via CAMC, they were the most competitive for us closely followed by Caravanguard. Then for some reason quite a bit of step to the rest of the quotes we got… all several hundred £’s more expensive, with roughly similar cover, excess, etc. Good luck.

I was just in the same situation with my Land rover quote, it had gone up by 33% and an admin fee had gone up by 100% gave them a call and asked them to explaine the rise and they went away for a few mins and then they gave me a new quote that had been knocked down to last years quote. So I think it's always worth giving them a call and ask them to explain the sudden rise in their quote.

Renewal from Comfort has landed last year £529 , this year £606 . Tried multiple quotes elsewhere most decided not to quote ( Wildax Altair ) as only tracker and no immobiliser , or cheapest elsewhere was £910 from lexham or £1227 Fri as n flux . Caravanguard , Ripe and saga would not quote .

Thanks everybody for your comments and suggestions. In the end we decided to stay with Comfort as they agreed a better price for a reduction in annual mileage. (We’re planning not to travel very far this year.)

Last year, Comfort were £598 inc breakdown on a new benimar tessoro 486 £82k - this year £669, still with Aviva.
Tried 2 comparison sites + Ripe and best was £902.....

Comfort were too dear for our new van, now with NFU no alarm or tracker required, Comfort wanted both and 300 quid more.
