Hi All,
Several Funsters are attending the Stroud Vintage Transport and Engine Club's annual Extravaganza being held at South Cerney Airfield, near Cirencester. You would be welcome to join us for all or part of the weekend. This is a great show with something for everyone.
You can arrive anytime from noon on Thursday 2nd and leave up to noon on Monday 6th.

I stayed at South Cerney for the Annual Camp of the Air Training Corps in 1963.

Did aerobatics in a two seater Chipmunk. Marvellous!!!
 
Last few years there has been an acrobatic Air Display in the afternoon plus lots of model aircraft of a sorts and sizes doing displays.

I doubt it Janine but worth asking the question £75 isn't to bad but compared to Welland steams fair it's quite expensive. Must say we tempted

You will not be disappointed. We have been many times. Courtesy bus into Cirencester on an interesting old vehicle so you can also explore this ancient town.

Should be no problem as Janet has been sending out tickets within a few days of receiving the application form.

i have just been speaking with Mike Smith and i mentioned that there are a few from MHF attending and told him that you have put it on the MHF forum about the event ,

He said if you let him know how many he will try and allocate an area for us . and another year if someone wants to act as coordinator they would give us a group discount for over 10 units ,

I did speak to Mike back in May to request a Camping application form. As I had no idea what the uptake might be I didn’t think to ask for a reserved area. We intend to arrive Thursday afternoon and I’ll request the same area we have had in previous years.
Could I please ask those who have booked to drop me a pm so I have an idea of numbers.

I have spoken to Mike Smith and Janet who are going to allocate an area for us.
If which ever Funster arrives first, identifies themselves to Janet or Mike then he will sort an area out for us.
It should be where we parked before.

Unfortunately not accurately. About 10 I think but we can accommodate many more.
The area we have had before is opposite Janet's cabin near the hedge where it flattens out so getting level is not a problem.

Any other Funsters who wish to attend it is not too late to apply!!
