I've seen some posts on this topic, so thought I'd share my €30 solution (see Amazon advertisement)

A few years ago I bought a Kerui security alarm system on Amazon and installed it as described below, refer to photos.

I installed the alarm siren inside the MH adjacent to the door opening side (see photo) and wired the alarm to the MH wiring inside the wardrobe behind the clothes 😂

This activates a 110 Decibel siren which is enough to do permanent hearing damage at such close range and makes it virtually impossible for anyone to enter the MH to do any looting, or search for the on-off switch unless wearing ear muffs!

A lot of security alarm installers mount the siren in the engine compartment which makes no sense to me at all, as we've all walked through a car park hearing an alarm, and nobody takes a blind bit of notice, whereas mounting the siren just inside the door prevents entry.

The alarm is activated by the Wireless Reed switch visible at the top of the door.

I also fitted Wireless reed switches to the garage and gas locker doors.

The alarm is activated, de-activated by a remote control fob.

I make sure the MH keys with the alarm remote are beside the bed in case someone opens any door during the night 😱

I also fitted a movement detector in the kitchen facing forward (see photo) so that any entry through the cab doors, or broken window activates the alarm.

The unit can be operated via 220V (normal house alarm method) or by connecting directly to the MH 12V power supply wiring.

The only downside is the alarm is 9V and the MH is 12V.

The simple solution I used was an NPN Transistor to change the 12V power to 9V.

The left pin is 12V in from the MH wiring, the middle pin is the earth/ground and the right pin is 9V out to power the alarm.

Maybe someone might find this useful 🤔

A simple, but effective alarm system for me 🤣

What I forgot to mention is that the forward infrared motion detector has an on-off switch so it can be turned off at night so one doesn't activate the alarm when doing a midnight raid on the fridge 🤣

At night I use a wire cable across the front cab doors held in position by quick lock trailer gate spring pins as the Renault Master had no other way of securing the doors without expensive 3rd party locks fitted to the doors well in excess of €100.

A very simple installation I did before going to Russia and Mongolia in 2018 for 8 months and was concerned about security 🤔

you could add a £10 pull-the-pin personal alarm from amazon like that
