hi we are thinking of buying a new motorhome, it has the new Indus Toilet fitted.
has anyone got one, and are they any good.

we have always had cassette toilets and so are a bit worried about the new system. It says i will have to use 30 pounds worth of liquid per month

any help would be great

No experience but have seen a couple of videos which raised lots of questions to me. Not just price of chemicals, but as i understand, only Thetford available. Wasn’t convinced about the emptying, especially using mainly CL type sites. Seem something more to go wrong.

£1 a day to pee. Cheaper in a public toilet. I'd find another motorhome. I can't imagine farm sites with septic tanks being overjoyed with them being filled with grey water either. Doesn't address the underlying issue for motorhomes - how long will it last before I need to find a dump point.

Full Time 2011-2013, now part timers!
Did the fella in the video empty down the grey waste grid or the black? Would it work if it was off the ground in one of those funnel type Chemiques? Not for me I’m afraid!

So now you need a smart phone & app also £30+ to take a 💩 I can see this method being used without chemicals and dumped down some roadside drain….🤷🏼‍♂️

A drop in the ocean compared with what the water companies dump......

Just seems too much cost and faff compared with using a cassette - keep it simple (y)

In the video it talks about being able to stay off grid for 7 days. it’s much cheaper to just carry a spare toilet cassette, that what we do. I won’t be rushing to install that upgrade, as said before more to go wrong

I couldn’t believe the noise of it. A 4am pee would wake everybody within 100yds!
We spend a fiver a year on bio washing powder and with two cassettes can last ten to twelve days depending on how much beer. And can dump in any septic tank or toilet.
The worst bit is Thetford will not say what will happen if you run out of chemicals. I suspect it will stop working so you have to carry a porter potti in the garage for emergencies! It makes it a sites only solution.
