Hello and apologies as this subject must have been covered numerous times but i cant seem to find an answer. we have just bought an autotrail imala 2021 and I wanted to fit a battery master to keep the vehicle battery charged with the solar. Has anyone fitted one to an autotrail and where is the best place to situate it. We have a sargent EC 176 supply board.
Thanks in advance, (newbie so be gentle)
Andy

Whilst no 'expert' I fitted one to our van, it's only three wires, one to each live supply on the batteries, the other to any vehicle earth.

I doubt the make of vehicle would make any difference.

Much the same as the Battery Master had, but definitely not thinner.

As LesW states, make of van is not important (we have autotrail and one fitted)
3 wires, One earth , One leisure battery, One starter battery
the kit comes with full instructions, should take you minutes, as i am assuming your leisure battery is in the outside lift up compartment, run the wire to the starter battery under the plastic flooring from the drivers side to the battery

Awesome LB is about 3ft from starter , thanks for the info.

Just to resurrect this thread rather than post a new one can anyone help with my specifics.

I have an Adria Twin PVC on a 22 Ducato chassis. My 2 leisure batteries are located under the passenger seat frame and the starter battery is in its normal place just in the footwell in front of that seat.

Has anyone fitted a battery master in this layout and where did you fit it and where did the cables run for safety from obstruction.

I would not attempt to fit one myself as I have no electrical knowledge, even though I am sure many will say it is easy, I’d rather get it done and safeguard any warranty issues later, but I would like to know beforehand what to expect re appearances afterwards.

Cheers

If it is any help ,The vanbitz battery master is only a bit bigger than a matchbox and I expect it will be fitted close to your PSU using short connection wiring so will hardly be seen. (or if fitted directly to the batteries can be hidden in the starter battery compartment if required )

Thanks GeoffnDee I was asking as I thought from reading this thread it just had wires to and from the two sets of batteries so no need to be anywhere near any other psu or boxes, or connected to anything else etc. I was keen to see where anyone routed the cables from under the front passenger seat the short distance into the van battery box
