New to motorhomes 2019
Big shout out to Offgrid Roger and Nigel Ivy Fantastic service, install and instruction.

Added 900Ah lithium, 2 Victron chargers, another 570W of solar and the required bits and pieces to make it all work. Everything done in a long work day in bitter conditions.

Left their workshop today and drove a few hours.

B2B inputting 95A, state of charge went from 26% to 53% over the relatively short trip.

Paused at a motorway services and the sun came out for a while (early Feb, lunchtime) and solar was reading at 6A.

Felling good about the install abd about to test the new air fryer.!

Hopefully, thats the end of my Starlink power anxiety forever šŸ™ƒ

Good to read a positive review of services provided. Iā€™m trying to get a reasonable proposition for change to lithium and solar upgrade. Do you have any contact details for the installation firm please?

RogerIvy & nigelivy

Youā€™ll not beat Roger and Nigel at Offgrid Power Solutions, theyā€™re professional, personal and polite.

Iā€™d also say youā€™ll not beat theyā€™re prices either and backup aftercare if needed, it really is first class

Wouldnā€™t go anywhere else tbh šŸ‘šŸ‘

Is the black tank finished as well or have you gone for the power hungry turd toaster now you have ample batteries šŸ¤£

Thanks all for the recommendation, Iā€™ve messaged via their web site and await a response. Fingers crossed, I too will be able to post positive recommendations. Honestly, so far since owning a motorhome, Iā€™ve not been overly impressed with customer service, certainly at main dealers!

I am surprised you didn't get Roger to convert your starlink to 12v and reduce the size of the case .... Then you could use your lithium for powering the national grid ....!! Lol šŸ˜†šŸ˜†

It's already 12v and flat mounted on the roof

RogerIvy & nigelivy are really helpful guys who do great installs.

Now you have finished all the mods time for a new van..
I get bored when I have no mods to došŸ¤£
Still the black tank if I get very, very, bored šŸ˜“

Iā€™ve received a reply and concise quotation already - very impressive! Thanks again all for the recommendation.

Youā€™ll be very pleased to hear that weā€™re off there next Thursday Lenny! After that long thread when someone was moaning about Lithium and I found the Victron 700 BMS couldnā€™t be monitored remotely and you started getting all technical I felt left out.

Weā€™re having the nasty chinese MPPT, B2B replaced and then other bits added to make us able to monitor it all, plus a battery master. I have a nice list. I asked lots of dumb questions of nigelivy .

I can still ask dumb questions on the forum but now Iā€™ll be able to post pictures, and Iā€™ve learnt to use a multimeter.

You can go and bash your head against a brick wall before or after dancing:giggle:
