Great heads-up and advice from @Gromett (y)

I probably over-delete emails, on the presumption that every unsolicited attachment or link is guilty of malware unless and until proved innocent. Now, where did I leave that tinfoil hat? :cautious:

I do get a few Word docs from people I know and would open them. What I'm not sure about is can this new method of attack propogate this way? For example, X receives an infected document. They then subsequently create a completely different Office document and send it to a friend. Is this second document also infected?

It is possible.
