If you carry two electrical bikes in the garage or on a towbar and its 7m or less what motorhome do you have please

Solution2
Fiamma carry bike lift. 2 x folding electric bikes @ 20kg each. Too much in garage so they go on the rack. When lifted up are about 2m above ground. Chained and alarmed with cover over. Only had one attempt (on Sheppey) and the alarm sorted that out. Dethleffs Trend, 3850kg, 7.5m + bikes.
Forget the folding bikes though - the wheels are too small for anything but smooth roads. Get proper bikes!
Hobby exclusive on Alan’s van but I have to say the rack “I think” is German made and the bracket has cracked on this trip. No batteries attached while travelling. If anyone knows who makes these bike racks please shout out.

Not electric bikes but our Thule VeloCompact tow bar rack is rated to carry them. It’s rock solid on the back of our 7m Adria Compact and I previously had it mounted on my VW Amarok 4x4 pickup and it handled off-road driving a treat.

I wouldn't want to carry e-bikes on a rack due to weight & value.
In the garage but ours is7.5m but we are changing to a 6.7 m van and they will still be in the garage a Carthago Compactline i141

We purchased two electric folding bikes from Decathlon so they would fit in the garage.
Not mountain bikes or anything like that but they suit us.
Horses for courses I suppose.
Moho is an Adria Sunliving S70SC.
Bikes come in at 18kg each so not light.
For the price we are happy.

Our e-bikes are only insured for theft from a vehicle if they are stored out of sight i.e. in the garage. A motorhome is by definition not an immovable object so locking to the outside doesn’t count as far as our insurers are concerned.

2x29er eMTB in our 6m Globecar 600L Revolution.
Front wheels come off if we want to put the bed down at a good height for sleeping. They go in fully rigged for a day trip.
Away at the moment 👍

That is very light for e-bikes ours are 24kg latest ones are 29kg.
Our Gocycles weigh in at 17.6kg including battery. I couldn’t find anything lighter when I was looking a few years back.

We take ours on the manufacturer fitted Thule bike rack, but remove the batteries and saddle bags. There is provision for three bikes but we carry the two. Without batteries they weigh around 21 kg, and 42 kg is well within the tolerances stated in the manufacturers manual. Ours is an A Class Carado. They are still heavy to lift, and I am sure would be easier in the garage, we prefer to use that for other things.

Our two e-bikes weigh around 45 kg without the batteries and have been carried on our PVC rear door for 12 years to Spain and back without any problems. The rack is supposed to be limited to 35 kg but mine is bolted on and there is no sign of any damage to the door.

We carry two GTech e-bikes. 16kg each without batteries which we carry separately. The bikes are on a Fiamma bike rack. We have separate insurance for the bikes. The bikes are not very sophisticated but are fine for what we use them for. Cycling into the nearest town, jaunts along canal footpaths on the Canal du Nivernais etc.

I should have added the bikes are insured through the home policy and are covered as long as they are padlocked. They are not flashy mountain bikes just used as another means of transport. Ideal for investigating the surrounding area when we stop somewhere, with between 60 and 80 niles range.

My previous van an Adria Compact SL at 6.6m had a full size Kalkof ebike and an AS Bikes e-Tricycle in the garage. Current Burstner T620G is also 6.6m and has a full size Kalkof ebike and an AS Bikes e-Tricycle plus a wheelchair in the garage - still underweight on the back axle.

5.9m 3300kg 2012 autocruise starfire with a towbar onto which is a halfords 3 bike rack max weight of 60kg. Our 2 ebikes are 44kg without batteries leaving room for some larger light items such as awning carpet, cycle helmets etc...
