If you are going to the CMC Baltic Wharf site

Hi I arrived at Baltic Wharf today. Being on my own I rely on Sat Nav which of course directed me around the city to approach the CAMC site from the west ( for normally good reason!) So I winged it through the city to approach from the East to avoid the road closure. I went over Princes Street Swing Bridge but BEWARE it has a 3 ton weight limit and a width restriction (7 ft?). My small PVC was ok but larger MOHOS must go another route, Redcliffe Bridge? Any locals got any other advice?
Good luck.
From the East use M32, then inner ring road A4044 to Temple Meads. Follow signs to York Road and take either York Road OR Clarence Road to Bedminster Bridge. Go around the large Bedminster Bridge roundabout which sits across the river. Follow signs to SS Great Britain, this means getting in correct lane as you approach this roundabout as otherwise there are lane dividers which direct you onto off onto to the A370.

If coming from Bath on A4 then use this route from Temple Meads.

From the west use A4 from Avonmouth, from M5 follow signs for Airport. Once into the city at Cumberland Basin, follow signs for A370 Weston super mare initially to take you over the bridge, then immediately look for A370, it’s the second turning left and may still be signposted airport. Once you get to the Bedminster Bridge roundabout keep left and take first turning off left signposted SS Great Britain.
As you can see by the red lines, don’t come this time of day !!

Coming from West
On street view, I can only find a very late sign for the turning left off the Cumberland Basin onto A370 towards Bedminster.. it’s right on the turning and says Temple Meads and Bedminster and has the train station symbol.

Strange how the Japanese can rebuild a road that had a very big sink hole in less than 48.

We in the U.K. will take probably 48 months before this issue is solved.

Thanks Riverbankannie
The blue route is the one we usually take ?

We were at Baltic Wharf last week (came back to Ciren on Wednesday 22nd), and we looked at some of the ‘affordable’ places currently on offer - but I don’t see how £225,000 for a 1-bedroom flat is in any way ‘affordable’! Perhaps I’m assuming that ‘affordable’ means that those without a lottery win could afford to buy.....?

We’re you with the 4 little rescues? If so we were in the hobby with the Daxie and IG. May have met another funster

Yes we were, Caggsie1!

Hello fellow Funsters! (y)

Thanks Riverbankannie, I extracted myself very easily today from Baltic Wharf using your route. I’m sure FIAT sat nav is designed for FIAT 500 cars, it argued all the way to the M4 ??

Then there will probably be a mad rush to get in after 3pm when the ban ends (0700-1500 proposed.....)
