Okay off grid and found lock on the freezer isn't working. Any clues for non teckkie

Is it 'frozen up'?Can and does happen on certain models

No it's not frozen. Also can you run t.v on12v I have 150 solar power

Turn on the frame heater should free it but may take an hour or so.
On ours I alway push the lever up and just rely on the magnetic seal to hold it closed been caught our before arrived for the night no dinner locked in the freezer.

Should be a button that turns a heater on around the freezer door.

Oh next to the dial. I've had that on. It's not frozen the slider is sliding but nothing moving? If that makes sense

If it's one of these the little lug 1 sits between two plastic lugs on 2 pia arrangement, the screw on ours was always coming loose,I think it was just persistence and putting pressure on the top of the slide that used to get it open.
Someone on fun made an updated catch out of metal but I can't find it at the moment

Oh thank you so much a very kind chap took it apart and fixed. If you find the metal equilivlant I would be very interested. Diagram was v useful. Really appreciate your info. ( note to self be gentle!)
