I rather like this

Hope he’s got plenty of life assurance for any dependants. Is he a brilliant rider or is he just an idiot? I was riding like an idiot when I fell off my bike 50 years ago and haven’t been on one since, just watching him makes my stomach churn!

On what I’m seeing the throttle action doesn’t blend in with the engine revs but I’m a sceptic 😆

which one is Yorick ??
Lol. I can still do that LOL.
But it's 50% skill and 50% bravery.

Folk think they're fast on the road, but not in real terms.
I'd still wup all my mates on a trackday. I'd make them look silly. But I I let them be happy without mentioning that ;)

my old boss described all bikers as temporary citizens
Nah - Organ Donors. Then you have to laugh, standing in front of the main hospital entrance with your husband in a wheelchair cos we had a motorbike accident so he's an inpatient but wanted to get out in the sun - when the bike came and parked in front of us and offloaded the coolbox with a kidney in it for someone's transplant he was delivering.

Driving like that should be for the race track. My nieces partner is in bits as this happened yesterday. She was the audi driver and the bike lost it and crashed into her
ps it was her mums 50th today and she didnt come to the party as she was too upset

Ghost Rider is worth a watch ,catch him on you tube👍😁
before interweb I bought all his DVD's :-)

Hard to say as he has a quick action throttle fitted and the revs sound / rpm indicator match
He does like to keep it on the red line though !

These videos often distort the true speed and difficulty of what is taking place. Angling the camera in a certain way can make it seem faster, slower, difficult or less difficult than the action that is taking place. What the rider actually sees is often very different.

what are the big numbers on his display that jump to 12000, 15000, 18000, 10000 etc

Engine RPM. The R6 engine will rev to 16k. And a slipper clutch means you can dump down the gears.

220km/hr appears on the display on the top right a few times. I'm sure they go faster than that, but it's hard to read. They are going three times over the speed limit through some of those towns.

Sorry madness.

I live on a main road no front garden and a few months ago there was one almighty bang so me and wife ran outside. A car was pulling out of the junction opposite and a biker was trying to beat a speed camera and I mean at speed.

BANG...... into the side of the car. We ended up working on him until paramedics and ambulance turned up and sorry to say he didnt make it to much damage internally and a very high blood loss.

So watching the video above it may look like fun and adrenaline junkie related but when people have to work hard with chest compressions and scrape bodies off the road because of stupidity that's where the buck stops.

It never fails to amuse me when people ride fast on the road but their road positions are far from ideal.

I saw lots of diving for an apex... works on the track, but it isn't the line when road riding. Generally you go as wide as you can (within your lane) to get the best visibility until you can see the corner exit. On the road, the further ahead you can see, the faster you can (safely) go.

I'm not an expert at riding at speed, I've never ridden anything like the speeds they were doing. But to me their lines generally seemed to be pretty messy and inconsistent.

I understand this "theory" and I know it is taught as an "advanced" road riding technique, however, riding "as wide as you can" in your lane will put you exactly where any errant diesel is going to be dumped.

Note: I've already said what I think of his riding.

Cheers
Red.
