If I use my mobile wi fi ,Huawei, can I watch i player etc in Spain and what sort of amount of data does it use. Sorry in advance for being a techie dumbo

If you are using a UK based sim roaming then you will be ok, if using a local sim then a VPN will be necessary.

lots of posts on the forum re using fire sticks etc to watch uk tv when abroad aswell as using wifi modems as the source. use google to look at what a vpn is and what you use it for

The benefit to motorhomers is that you can make it look as though you’re in the UK when overseas therefore allowing access to UK based services like BBC iPlayer which otherwise would block you. Ref Data use... AND this is only a very very rough guide.
Work on 1 hour of watching video = 1 GB of data.

Watching in low resolution cuts down the amount, watching high action films increases the amount, so there are lots of variables..

I took out a one month subscription to ExpressVPN when last in Spain. It has good reviews and worked well. I now use Norton 5 device internet security on home computers, ipad and phone and that comes with a VPN that is very easy to use. I purchase from 3rd party suppliers on Ebay for about £17 per annum so cheaper in the long run than the Express VPN subscription.
