If the water is drained from the water tank and if the truma C6002 has also been drained via the yellow drain valve can you still get heating? And if so how does it do it with no water?

Yes you can use the C6002 for heating with water drained down.
I don't know how, but it's made to work that way.
Having said that, I do find mine works better with water in it, but that might be just psycological over analysis ?

7 years campers before that
your boiler produces hot air for your heating this passes through the water jacket to produce hot water if the water filled jacket is empty then there is nothing for the heat to transfer to
