I’m thinking of putting the heating on….

So what's stopping you? we have although we have some wet towels to dry after having some milk escape in the fridge

We've had our coming on in a morning for an hour and again for a few hours from late afternoon, resisted for a few days when we got back from Scotland on 30/7 but just can't be doing with being cold when, to be honest, we don't need to save the cost of heating.

Maybe we're slowing turning into southern softies! 😄

Warm and toasty , heating on in Dorset

I'm up North....it's not even cold yet I'm still wearing shorts! I'm holding off as I'm trying to determine how successful my new underfloor insulation is.

Debating whether to put my heating on too. 15.5 lunchtime here in Mid Sussex, still lashing with rain and windy, roads awash and leaves falling like snow, blocking the street drains. Pretty bleak.

Our radiators are all on individual thermostats. The bathroom has been coming on in the morning and yesterday it did in the afternoon. But nothing else is coming on. Tee shirt & trousers.

Currently in the New Forest and fired up the van heating for a while this morning. The rain is more of an issue than the chill .

Sods law here, just reached the age at which I qualify for the winter allowance that many mates have had for years, and Starmer has cancelled it!:swear:
I really do feel for those pensioners that don't qualify for Universal or pension credit, by being £2.20 a week over the income allowance, and there are millions like them.
I hope they all have to sit arround in the labour Cabinet Office, with no heating on, sat in their scarves & anoraks, maybe they might get a feel of what some are having to suffer this winter in their own homes, especially the disabled ones.

This is why heating systems have thermostats, if it goes cold the heating comes on , same rules at home or away 👍
Agreed. Mine is left on the same settings all year. Just it doesn't come on throughout the summer because it doesn't get cold enough. Just let the thermostat do it's thing!

Although I do have a smart thermostat. When everyone is out of the house, the thermostat drops to a minimum temperature of 13C.

We had our heating on in the van this morning in northern Spain.

At the weekend when we're back in South East Spain we'll be using the aircon.

I'm off to Wales tomorrow, for 3 weeks, only taking shorts/Tshirts I am anticipating warm sunny weather for 3 weeks. Heating not on at home until October.

We came back from Corfu on Saturday but still wearing shorts and thin shirts. No heating allowed in my house although a bit of sun would be nice.
