I'm not sure if anyone can help, we've been looking at a few Hymer ML-T and they appear to have an auxiliary diesel heater located under the passenger foot compartment.

One van had a small switch on the dash. The other van has no switches. How and when would this auxiliary heater come into operation.

Thanks in advance.

Are you sure they are both deisel powered? Our Hymer T668SL has an axilliary heater under the passenger seat but this is part of the Alde system and is controled from the Alde panel.

It transpires that the van with no switch does not have a diesel heater underneath the van. The dealer was confused.
The van with the Mercedes switch on the dash does have a factory fit 5 KW Webasto.

These are factory fit as an auxiliary heater to aid engine warming. Although there is the same as a engine pre- heater option.
