Following the previous posting about the dreaded headlamp glas breakages, :( I have gone ahead and moulded, 3X right side, and 5 X left hand plastic lenses. the left side seems to be more prone to damage.
If you have a need for one, give me a PM. and we can arrange to do a replacement of the glass.
These are NOT as perfect as the new hedlamp would be but as good as I can make them and hopefully not really noticeable. The prototype one is on a van in Brighton and they SEEM to be reasonably happy with it, the next ones will be better still.:)

Do you have photos of the one fitted?

I am definitely up for this, just wish I had pushed TW a bit harder to get my first one back to me, they claimed they couldn't let me have it??

But maters not as I have now have broken unit No. 2 sat in our lounge waiting for just this moment :)

PM sent (y)

Edit to my post above, just found your repair thread, can't believe I hadn't seen that

Great looking job (y)

We've had one break. We've taken some action to prevent it happening again ie led running lights and covered the glass in a protective film. Nevertheless it's still a concern that it could shatter again. We didn't keep the one that we had to replace though Would that be needed

The headlamp in the picture was a bit of a basketcase as it was hit by a pheasant and the whole back piece was broken as well. If yours is just shattered then I can help but the silvering in the back does suffer from water damage if left too long in the open. I did another for a funster in Brighton as a prototype and they seem happy buth the masking was painted on theoutside of the glass. I have tried a technique of paint on the inside and it seems to be able to take the glue without pulling off so looks better. I would also advise that the centre fixing to the body (the adjustable one) is slackened slightly to stop the whole body being stressed across the glass. I obviously can only repair the damaged one, the dealers are trying to stop them from going out in the world, and some cheapskate coming along and ruining their profit margins by repairing them:rolleyes:
