Just going through the basics on my new purchase which is a 2003 Hymer B584 on a Fiat base.

I see the tyres need air. Whoever put the wheel trims back on have covered up the air valve but not aligning the 'hole' correctly in the trims with the valve.

It seems that I need to remove 4 of the 5 wheel bolts to allow the trim to be 'wiggled' over the last remaining 5th bolt? This bolt should remain secured to the wheel. Is that correct the correct way to do this job? (bit of a pain as my torque wrench only goes up to 150nm!)

Thanks.

That's correct wiggle over the bolt where the trim has the elongated hole.

Thanks very much - off to get a new wrench or maybe just do them up 'F' tight unit then !!

I thought you remove the bolt near the valve and then trim should come off, if so you would need to see which bolt would be near the valve cut out.
But I could be wrong, it’s been a long time since I’ve took mine off.

Because the wheel trim has been oriented incorrectly I cannot see where the valve is! In any event it appears that 4 out of the 5 bolts need to be removed as they are holding the wheel trim 'captive'. Only then can the trim be freed and re aligned and then all bolted back up again.

Just to close the thread..................... I went to a local tyre place and the fitter jacked up the MH, removed 4 bolts, removed the trim and realigned so that the valve was correctly exposed and then torqued the remaining bolts. Front tyres should have 57 PSI in them but mine had 32!! Rears were not much better. All sorted - thank for your help.
