We are viewing the above model tomorrow.
The layout is exactly what we are looking for and is virtually the same as our current Hobby Van Exclusive.
The big difference is being A Class as opposed to coach built.
Really interested if anyone has any comments (positive or negative) regarding this model.
I will be amputating both an arm and a leg if decide to buy .
Thanks for any input.

No knowledge of that model, but two things that really bug me about our exiss that I didn’t notice until we bought it. Both net and blackout blinds come down from the top, so you can’t use the blackout as a partial privacy screen if you have close neighbors. Also, the release levers for the seats are between the seat and MW wall, rather than being easily accessible on the inside, so you have to reach over and fumble for them. Also waste tap is a hands and knees job, certainly can’t be reached by bending down.
None of these would probably have been deal breakers, but they really bug me now.

Our last van was an Exsis i678, not the current model not much has changed only really the front and back ends. They are a bit basic other than that ok. Check where the water tank is as a lot of Exsis have them behind the rear axle which really limits your rear axle loading.

If it has a removable floor panel in the garage check it's not wet under there. If the water tank is brimmed when on rough or bendy roads that compartment fills like a swimming pool.

Check the bottom courners of of drivers door and hab door for corrosion also the rubber seal at the corners on the drivers door wind down window for corrosion
If it has security locks check for corrosion around them.

Thanks. I did notice from the ads that the blinds come down. Shame but it is the same as our current van so we will be used to it.

Thanks. It looks like the internal access may be in the cab area floor so I will certainly check that out.

Our Dynamic Line has the same blinds they are not a problem you can still get any combination of blind / flyscreen. I think emjaiuk had a different blind.

Exsis were revamped for 2018MY. The previous 588 had a payload of 600/950kg so I imagine the new model will be similar. We find it more than adequate and I carry some crap!
Although we had issues with our 578 when new, these were sorted and the van is excellent. We've not experienced the problems that have been mentioned in other posts.

We have a 2018MY Exsis i588 on a 2019 plate. No complaints, concerns or major issues to report here as yet. One of the bedroom corner light units was replaced because it only worked intermittently. Waiting confirmation that the under drop down cab bed ‘ambient’ LED light will be replaced under warranty because it has it has dimmed since new. Not noticed issues with water tank leakage. We don’t have the UK style oven, which we don’t miss, providing more kitchen storage space.
Feel free to fire questions.

Thanks that's very kind.

On our previous van, the blind emerged from the bottom of the window and the flyscreen from the top, and they could be hooked together. On our exsiss both rollers are at the top with the blinds travelling in separate guides.

On my DL and my previous Exsis the blind comes down from the top they travel in the same guide.
Just taken some pics.

Given that you will be selling both arm and leg to get this van, I'd suggest it's worth renting one first.
from here
It may be in Spain, but if you have a week to spare, it would be well worth the cost.

We rented 4 vans before we bought ours, we thought we had found the perfect van with number three until we spent a few nights in it and found the layout was wrong for us.

We have a 2018 Hymer MLT570, so from the cab backwards, very similar to the Exsis i588

ahhh, but nothing like a couple of nights in a van to give you an idea of what it is like, and then realise you should have gone for the next model up or the one with the extra option

With the benefit of hindsight I'd have had a power socket with USB fitted between the bed and another by the table.
I'd not have bothered with the satellite dish.
I'd have had the Zenec head unit swapped for one by a recognised company such as Pioneer
I'd have at least one outside light
I'd not have bothered with the Remis blinds on the cab doors or windscreen
I'd have had the optional thermal curtain fitted in the cab
Carpets are a waste of money, except they gave a good template for a rubber mat for the cab
Cushions are also a waste of money. Apparently cost a fortune, and have been in the attic since the day we got the van

Alarms, Solar, GasLow, tracker, awning, wifi, all things we added soon after purchase which were not a waste of money.

How did you get on with your viewing of the Exsis 588

Deposit put down.
In all honesty I got a reasonable p/ex and the new van has so many extras fitted it.
Only downside One solar panel and AGM leisure batteries. Need to research what controller it has.
To be honest we were there for 4 hours and really went over it with a fine tooth comb.
Fingers crossed it will be a good one.
Now to wait three and a half weeks while they do hab/vehicle services and cam belt and MOT 👍

As they are doing the cambelt I assume it's a 2016 or 2017 the one we had was 2014 so I think it will be the same version.
If the AGM's are that old worth ditching and fitting a couple of Gels unless you fancy Lithium.

Fantastic news, exciting times…
Would it be worth asking them to fit new leisure batteries for cost! I understand the initial deal is done but worth asking. As ever, it all comes down to cost but as Lenny said, Gels or Lithium.

if they are the sietz blinds with the cassette that is closed top and bottom its not diffcult to turn them round screws are under the caps all around the cassette be aware if you take all the screws out the window will fall out so you need some one outside just holding it in place

By any chance is it the one Oaktree motorhomes are selling! if so, it looks a beauty.

It’s actually 2018 but I thought it was worth pushing so I could have 5 years before I dig deep.
I will put them through their paces and see how they are. If suspect I will fit a couple of gels ( pockets a bit empty at the moment).😂

It is and it was certainly as clean as the pictures. 👍

It is the new version, seems a high price but I have always bought mine in Belgium.
