Hi, we are on a trip in our 2018 Hymer and the electric blind isn’t working, door mirrors also don’t work so we think it’s a fuse? Where is this fuse please - we think in the engine? And we have the manual winder but don’t know how to use it - bought Freda Hymer 2nd hand from Travelworld no manual provided 😥

Electroblok is the 12 volt distribution system and fuse block used in hymers.
Not sure where it'll be on yours, but it's somewhere there, maybe in a locker, usually they're quite accessible.

I always thought it was powered by the leisure battery but if the mirrors don't work either it must be from the starter battery also no mention of it in the EBL wiring diagram.

So it could be one of 3 things, the blind motor, one of the mirror motors or the mirror heaters.

In the under bonnet fuse box F24 (7.5 amp) is Mirror movement & F30 (15 amp) Mirror heaters .

Thank you Lenny, Julian thought it may be this, he will have a look tomorrow in daylight. Meanwhile we have dropped the front bed down, perfect, keeps heat in and gives us privacy as we enjoy our pre supper nibbles and glass of Reisling

Deepest condolences, our recent trip to Germany we survived on Spanish wine from Lidl & Aldi.

bought Freda Hymer 2nd hand from Travelworld no manual provided 😥
Probably paid top dollar from them you should have had a pack of manuals 2" thick.
Did you get the Certificate of Conformity? A copy from Hymer is £200.

Yes I am sure we did, but lucky to find/buy our Freda at the time, no new Hymas, all on order, and we did quite well on exchanging our Elegance as new ones were £20k more than we paid new less than a year since we bought new, extraordinary times!

Now trying to locate the Aldi expansion tank, heating doesn’t seem to bd working properly, garage is cold, and rear/bedroom too, 🥶 Think we have an air cushion in the boiler. Freda was warmed last night, but maybe cause we had been travelling all day.

Julian is looking at the wiring re daytime running lights and indicators not working, and the electric blind worked! All very odd, anyone have ideas please?

On mine the running lights are controlled via the menu and the blind via a fuse under the drivers seat. I had a problem with the blind it was catching in the guides and switching off, a little furniture polish solved it.

After I sorted my drop down bed with regards to the fittings, I noted the electric blind would not work properly (stuck). I must have knocked it out of alignment.

I basically sprayed silicone on runners and whilst I gently pulled the blind down, my other half operated the switch. This did the trick and now it works perfectly 🤞

The manual operation on my van is above the passenger side seat beside the drop down bed.
