Hymer B640 pull out bed support

Googled until i can google no more! Our 1999 B640 has the L shaped sofa set up, i want to modify this so i can infil the missing bit of the "L" to make a double pull out bed. Other models seem to have what has been described as a tray holder that pulls from the side of the seat to act as a support for the back rest cushion which has a plywood insert in it to act as a bed base, the pull out is basically 2 metal tubes slotted into 2 larger tubes that telescope out by around 18 inches and support the unsupported (nearest the driver) end of the bed "extension". Im trying to source one so i can retro fit it to the L shaped seat, failing that im going to have to manufacture a pull out slatted section with fold away legs, anyone know A: what the elusive pipe thingy is called? B:Can you purchase them still?

I would fit a shelf with fold down brackets on the side of the seat. Could double up as a coffee table etc

Are you sure that layout is convertible? Aren't some are only 2 berth?

The B640 is really just a B544 but on a Merc chassis so was available with either the dinette option which uses the centre table to create a double between the 2 x opposing double bench seats or you could specify the "extras" which turned the L into a fair sized double that could be linked to the single opposite to create a giant bed which goes full width of the habitation area, great until the person in the pull down needs a pee and has to clamber over the giant bed my idea is to convert the L into a double and disregard the single of the other sofa as that gives a nice size bed but crucially leaves a wide enough walk way for comfort breaks
