I had the absolute pleasure of seeing this thing of beauty while I was heading through France towards the tunnel. The owner asked if I wanted to see inside....damn right I did. Absolutely beautiful. Nice bloke who lives in it too. If you are a funster sir, then much respect!

I believe I met the chap and had an invited tour inside, which was lovely. If memory serves me correctly, it was originally built for the CEO of Mercedes 🤔

There we go, I took the photo March 2016, at the Canterbury Park and Ride. Wonder if it’s the same chap..but knew it was the same van. You can see the blistering above the front grill in my picture and all gone in the video, so he’s doing a great job looking after it 👍🏻

Nice new leather seat covers in the lounge and a thick carpet. It looks amazing for it's age. Much work involved.

It was the brown original interior when I went inside and original carpet. Bet it looks fantastic now. If my memory serves me correctly, it also has a porcelain toilet and a lovely big bed in the rear. None of that drop down nonsense, that’s a real motorhome and can go on forever, well or until they ban such beauties over electric 🤦🏼‍♂️

Didn't ' Ian the builder ' offer him a£1 a week for it

I used to enjoy reading @ianthebuilders adventures when he had his motorhome. Has anyone heard from him lately, as he doesn’t seem to be on here anymore?

I think it is 30 feet long, but a wonderful piece of engineering and workmanship

I went to view one in South Yorkshire many years ago

Yep I too saw him in Canterbury P&R in 2021. It seems he is a regular there. Lovely beast, but I wander what it weighs.

I too met the chap when he was parked up in the overflow parking area at Canterbury P&R. I'm sure his name is Julian, and he was quite active on the Hymer Owner's Facebook Group, (HOG) at one time.

That YouTube video was taken at the P&R. She's a lovely old bus. (y)

Cheers,

Jock. :)
