I am considering getting a Hydra Trail and I have read most if not all the posts on here.
I know the manufactures say it can carry up to 250kgs, but from current and ex owners what would YOU consider to be a safe maximum weight?
Also, knowing what you know now, would you buy again?

We carry 200 kg, seems fine. Easy lifter constructed a steel insert for tow bar to ensure proper fit. Have been in uk and France with it. Yes I would buy again. I forget it's on there until approaching speed bumps and my wife shouts!

Easylifter has limit of 250 kg....
There are plenty of bikes out there below that weight

From very limited experience with the Hydratrail design and fixing I would caution that it puts a fair bit of stress onto the tow bracket and just welding a plate onto a "swan neck" or "detatchable" is not good enough, and yes "reputable" tow bar companies do this!!!
