How to wake up a lithium battery!

Hi Gerry77, I have fitted a Victron solar charger and a B2B plus a smart shunt but not a Victron mains charger, I am interested to know why you have to remove the EBL charging fuse as I have not done that, do you think I should and what happens if I dont.
Jack
What sort of battery do you have? I will be fitting a lithium battery which is best charged correctly. Removing the 20amp fuse from the EBL disables the charging circuit to the leisure battery so my lithium battery will be charged by the solar, B2B and a Victron mains charger all set to suit lithium battery settings.
If my explanation is incorrect other more qualified members will correct me!

I have a 300 AH lithium but no Victron mains charger so should I leave the fuse in the EBL in place ?

There is a reason why the standard EBL mains charger is not the best idea for lithium batteries. It doesn't have a lithium charging profile amongst its settings. Some of the other settings are kind of OK for lithium, and at least one is very bad for lithium.

If you rarely use the mains charger, then you can get away with the occasional charging using the standard lead-acid (blei-saure) setting, or the Gel (blei-gel) setting. Avoid the AGM setting if there is one, the voltage is too high.

If you decide not to use the EBL mains charger, an easy way to stop it charging the leisure battery is to pull out the fuse labelled 'Internes Lademodul) (= internal charger module).

Please excuse my ignorance but if I pull the fuse as mentioned would I still be able to charge the starter battery if plugged into mains ?
Jack.
