Our Thule step has stopped working. Thanks to all those with suggestions about fixing it responding to another thread I started. Another issue I didn't mention there is that if the engine is started with the step extended it retracts automatically with a beeping sound that continues till it is fully retracted. But now the step doesn't retract on manual or automatic, but when the engine is started we randomly get the beeping, sometimes even when the step is fully retracted. The alarm is not on the same circuit as the step, since pulling the step fuse does not silence it. Likewise, it's not on any of the hab system auxiliary circuits. How do I stop the alarm? Is it on one of the Ducato circuits?

Just pull one of the connections on the buzzer. Should be easy enough to find just follow the sound, often under one of the front seats.

Cheers, I will try that. I thought it might have been through the AV system, but seems unlikely.

Is you fridge still working when the engine is running. Some auto retract power supply is triggered by the d+ circuit when. The engine is started and the manual switch gets its power from the engine battery?

That's all covered in the other thread. The motor runs ok, so it's getting power. But thanks anyway.

Can't try it just yet. Would it be under the front seats on an A class with Aguti seats?
