Elddis Accordo 135
Hello everybody,

I have just bought my first motorhome and I have noticed that the reversing camera on my Elddis Accordo 135 isn’t very clear. I think it must have water ingress.

Could you please advise me on how difficult and expensive it is to replace.
Many thanks

It shouldn't be too difficult. I would start by checking inside to see if there are dedicated connectors for video and 12v then find a compatible camera- eldis won't have made it themselves so there will be one around.
Above all be sure that you seal it properly, you don't want a damp problem later. Just take your time and perhaps put questions on here
Best wishes
Mike

If you can check the wires behind the camera there are probably connectors around 12 to 18 inches in, so you should be able to just remove the camera by disconnecting the leads from the wiring to the front of van and replace camera without having to replace the entire system.

We had a similar problem when we had our Elddis.
The camera was replaced under warranty.
The dealer thought it was just a case of unscrewing the old one and fitting a new one but Elddis had pumped the back of the camera full of silicone which resulted in no slack in the wires. The complete casing that houses the camera and brake light had to be removed (cut off) to enable the camera to be replaced. The dealer was able to remove the casing without breaking it and it was therefore reused with the new camera.

Thanks for the confirmation. Just tried to replace mine and found that the existing connector would not pull through. And yes it seems the complete top mounting casing needs to be removed!!??

I have just replaced mine on Accordo 125. I was a simple job. Make sure you get the camera with the correct plug. Mine had 4 pin aviation type.
