How to refit flush handle to Thetford C400 toilet?

The flush handle came off and I can't see how to refit. The cassette is in the open position so I can't remove it. Any ideas please? Thanks.

Do you mean the handle to open the blade ? The flush is just a flat panel and pops on/off .
If blade stick open try a press on the blade from toilet side, you may be able to move it manually, spray with silicone lubricant. Sorry, I have not had my handle off so not sure how it fits.

As Annie suggests, go in through the cassette door, and where the green knob on the cassette slides into a plastic guide (with a rod attached), that's the mechanism you operate, to close the blade manually. Check that the cassette is fully in, and engaged.
