Twice on the journey down through France and Spain we encountered roads closed.
For the life of me I cannot figure out how to re-route.
According to Garmin website I should use map tools but I do not have map tools anywhere in the settings.
My frustration of hearing in two hundred metres make a U Turn repeated for miles and miles until it finally reroutes is taking its toll.
Please for my sanity tell me how to do it.🤬

Have you got it linked to Garmin drive whilst using it?
When paired by Bluetooth on a mobile phone you get live traffic updates and reroutes when there are crashes or congestion.

No it’s not linked. I was hoping there was just a manual way of re-routing. The closed roads were both accidents that had obviously only just happened.

It should recalculate automatically if you're using Garmin Drive app on your mobile and have it linked to your sat nav.

If it doesn't (or you don't use the app).

Tap "Where To" on main screen
Select your destination
To use the recommended route tap "Go"
To use an alternative route tap a "Y" shaped arrow symbol
The alternative route map shows on the right-hand side of the screen
If you want to edit the selected route tap "Edit Route" and add additional waypoints.

Thankyou for the replies. I tend to have the Up Ahead display on the R/H side of the screen so I don’t see any way of changing the route.
Now realise if I close the Up Ahead option it displays the three dots in the R/H side of the screen and this gives me detour options.
Thankyou for bearing with me.
🤦🤦🤦
