I put a no mice sign up...seems to work as Ive never had a single mouse in the engine ?, or maybe it could be the CAT convertor :)

I have a proprietary pet safe rodent bait station near the motorhome , presume it works as never had a problem.

I once had them in my engine bay at storage. Dreading going up there next time.... Not been for months. They were scraping engine fuzzy protector stuff to use as a nest. :(

Always open the door with baited breath.

Having tried al the known things like peppermint oil and tumble drier sheets etc none which seemed to work even the chemical spray you can buy online all useless so this year I have tried a spray made up of Jeyes fluid which I squirt around the wheels and the engine bay and so far it seems to have worked.

Purchase a small pipe organ and position in close proximity, along with a saggy old cloth cat, baggy and a bit loose at the seams and those little rodents will find themselves inexplicably drawn toward them, and away from the MH.

We will clean it, we will polish it, we will give it...

Humane Mouse traps work, normally place a little bit of quality chocolate inside (not even mice can resist chocolate) check daily and when you catch them take them about 2 miles away to a nice countryside spot and release them.

Keyes fluid doesn’t prevent mice etc , it breaks their trail. As they piddle as they go marking their trail, the jeyes over powers the scent to stop them finding their way back. Best used with other preventive things like traps etc.

I had rodents chew through my diesel pipes in October. I have sprayed cinnamon oil and peppermint oil over the engine bay, exposed pipes and wiring every couple of weeks since.

I also added an ultrasonic rodent deterrent alarm, a red flashing led bike lamp in the engine bay and laid various poison traps. No evidence of them returning to the engine bay since but poison from the traps around the MH has been eaten.

However ..... in November the motorhome parked next to me in the storage yard then got attacked. Brake-pipes and coolant pipes chewed through!

Put peanut butter up the exhaust,

I made a couple of traps the other week....or bait stations really.

Basically just a drinks bottle with one of those poison tea bag things from Wilko..
Zip tie it down or weigh it down....not seen one in a couple of months now.
