how best to cover these vent holes either from inside or outside i don't want the cold coming in and i have a modern fridge now so don't need them.

I've seen dometic covers but they're around 30 quid each which seems like a rip off.

Cheers

I'd put 10mm thick closed cell foam behind them (the flexible white stuff you get in packaging). My vents are also largely redundant now too so I fit the winter covers.

I took out my 3 way fridge and put in a compressor fridge. The ventilation from the fridge is at the bottom of the new fridge so I had to find a way to block off the two vents that were no longer need.

I went to B&Q and bought a piece of foam insulation (approx £10) When I took off the outer vents I used them to push against the foam and this left an outline with the exact size of the holes I needed to cut out. I cut the insulation out with a sharp knife and got an exact fit for the size of the holes. Been in now for 6 month and no problems whatsoever ever. I have also left on the winter covers.
