ABS light came up. Then EBD, then speedo stopped working followed by engine symbol. Citroen Relay 2012. My last van was a Talbot - no electronic stuff. Citroen want £185 per hour to fix it and the unit (which might be repairable, not that Citroen would dream of it) will be £2000.

Has anyone successfully had the pump repaired on these ABS units and had a successful reinstall complete with codes still working? That's the other cheaper version. It's the codes I'm concerned about! Tight budget motorhomer!

Happy New Year.

As mentioned wheel speed sensor could be an issue or abs or other ecus can be tested once sent to people.like ecu testing.com hope you get to the bottom of it soon.

Thanks for suggestions. ECU was mentioned by one garage. I'm nervous about the coding being lost. Citroen love to keep control!

Thanks for your ideas.

You need to get an independent garage to look at it or auto electrician with good diagnostics (often mobile) Google ECU remap and ring a few

Hi sue ,
Vikki Kia had similar lights on dash , and it was wheel sensor. (She took to garage to have fix and light faults all gone ) .
Then a couple of weeks later we had same with our Kia , so order two wheel sensors on eBay ,
Lucky enough my diagnostic tool told me it driver side rear, so will fitting new when it warms up a bit 😨

My daughter’s Suzuki Swift did all these symptoms just before Christmas, turns out it was a dead short in the battery that then killed the alternator and a few relays. My advice would be to get an auto spark to run a thorough diagnostic test on it before buying any spare parts.

Cheers!

Why on earth go to a main dealer ?
Go on Feasesbook.
Go to local Group
Ask for recommendations for local garage.
Save a fortune.

I've had the same scenario with all our cars over the past few years.

Local engineer every time, unless you absolutely have to go to main dealer like I will for a spare key.

There was a fault on Mrs Plug's car which my local garage just didn't have workshop time to fix. They'd had some staff shortages due to longish illnesses and were fully booked up for a month.

Being a regular customer they took the view that it was worth their time and effort to stick the diagnostic tool on it, look up the part numbers from the car spares place next door but two and give me tips on how to remove and replace the sensor (I can't even remember which one now). It was an easy fix that took 20 mins but I wouldn't have known where the fault was or which part to order without their help (which they didn't charge me for despite me offering to pay).

They weren't going to get my money for the repair anyway but this way I still got looked after and felt good about their service. They did as much for me as they could, you can't ask for more than that. I took them some beers as a 'thank you' seeing as they didn't want payment.

Find me a dealership with that sort of customer service...
