Hello

I don't normally go in for posting on forums, but having been unable to find out how to reset the Miles to Next Service anywhere on the web, (it's probably out there somewhere I'm sure!), I thought I might post how I did it myself; in case it is of interest to others.

I used AlphaOBD android app, plus a Yellow ODB Adapter 3 and a Vgate ICar Pro Wifi ODBII Scanner Bluetooth 4.0

To Reset Oil Change Required:-

Connect to the Engine via the Vgate ICar Pro (do not use the Yellow Adaptor for this!) - select the Oil Change option from the Diagnostic functions and run it.

To Reset Service Mileage:-

Connect to the Instrument Cluster via the Yellow Adaptor and run the diagnostic Reset Service Mileage.

Note there is a diagnostic function available on the body computer regarding Service Mileage - this appears to maintain the value which gets written to the Instrument Cluster during the reset process. It can also be changed by AlphaOBD if you wish.

Hope this is of help to someone

Cheers

Multicuescan also has this capability to do the resets.

Be aware that many Ducato also have a limited number if service tokens, often only 9. One is used for each oil change reset and running out will cause another annoying warning. Multicuescan can reset the service token counter too.

I have both Alfa obd on android and multiecuscan on windows and use both with usb and bt interfaces. Both can do many fiat specific bi directional actions. The main advantage of MES is the simulate mode and the extensive help available. Unfortunately this is not available for alfaobd, but is a good compromise for permament availabilty in the van. Its other issue for me is its limmited to 16pids whereas you can use 24-28 with Mes
