Hi. Does anyone know how I can tell if our 2019 Hymercar Yosemite has an alarm and/or immobiliser fitted? The manual simply says it may or may not be 'depending on the market'. It is based on a Fiat Ducato. Thanks.

Try to get in or start it without pressing any buttons if possible?

Vin plate and ask a main dealer? Might have access to records?
Thanks. That's exactly what I have just tried and to my amazement they were able to tell me with 100% certainty that neither is fitted. Guess I'll have a look at getting one or both put in.

Main dealer would only know if it were factory-fitted, not if after-market by an outside organisation like VanBitz.

Why cannot the seller tell you?

I thought all new vehicles came with an immobiliser since about 2000 ?

Starter key is coded to ignition but its not really a dedicated immobilisor in that an alarm type one if triggered needs to be reset to activate ignition. With the key it just needs to be put in.
I know the alarm just needs turning off lol.
