Senior moment here…

Can anyone confirm that this means:
  • Top knob= Hot water at 60 C using electrickery
  • Bottom knob= Use max electrickery of 1.8kW
  • Orange light on bottom one means it’s heating
Thanks!

Yes you are correct ish

I would correct what you are saying, by saying the top dial you are asking for hot water, not hot water via electric. The bottom dial controls the source. Electric or gas.

Top dial = what you want
60 degree hot water
40 degree hot water
Off
Heating only
Heating and hot water

Bottom dial = power source
Twin electric elements
Single electric element
Gas only
Gas and single electric element
Gas and twin electric element

The yellow light on the top dial tells you it is currently making hot water, and the yellow on the bottom dial is showing that it is receiving 240v

Ah, so the outcome is the same but a little confused as to each knob (fnarr fnarr)

And thankfully have woken up to some hot water!

Thanks

A further question.

Top dial.

What do the Orange 1 & 2 and the Green 5, signify?

Top dial orange = currently making hot water. Will go out when the tank is up to temperature
Top dial numbers are the room thermostat settings. 1low 6hot. We tend to have our heating on 3.
Top dial green light = boiler is on (but not necessarily working/producing)

Bit mystified why you would want gas and electric on at the same time. Just how mush of a hurry are you for hot water?

For those cold nights when 1.8kw of electrickery isn’t enough to keep the van warm?
