Horn

I know vehicles horns are only there to alert (IMV mainly pedestrians) that you are there.
Poeple who use horns to blast at anybody and everybody, that possibly may "cut them up" are wasting their time.
Chill out and drive defensively and there is no need to constantly blasting your horn.
Not bragging but after 45 yrs of driving the only time my horn gets "honked" is when the MOT geyser does it.

I think being a driving instructor for the last 23yrs I’m totally chilled out and do drive very defensively

I’m not bragging because I have nothing to Bragg about, although the Duke of Edinburgh did say to me once it was rude to name drop

The horn is an audible warning and should only be used as such, so I don’t go around constantly blasting as you suggest.

However, If and when there is a need to honk (when I get to your age my horn might only get honked once every 12 months ) I would like something that sounds better than a wet fart, that’s all I’m asking for and not a lesson on how and when to use it

I've had many occasions to use the horn to alert dim-witted/blind drivers when they have been reversing, unaware of a big white motorhome.

no ,not if is a ducato. A road runners beep-beep is ok ,the fiat one is offensive to horns.

A horn is very useful on single track roads. A toot as you approach blind bends can save a too close encounter with something coming the other way. Same warning as flashing your headlights after dark.
