What's the best combination of hook-up leads, adapters etc for uk and continent? Also, what hoses will cover all water requirements in UK and continent?.....any other tips for useful equipment apart for the obvious stuff like corkscrews and KFC receptacles?

Personally I don’t bother with food grade hoses.
Got two 50m expandable hoses
Along with lots of attachments.

I have two self made ehu leads.
One 15m and one 25m.
Again adaptors to plug into 13amp socket and will get a two pin adaptor for the continent.

Standard 25mt UK hookup lead 16amp round connectors. Plus European 2 pin to 16amp round socket.
Selection of BSP screw on tap connector. Try to find 1&1/4" and 1" plus push fit hose connector male and female.

16A hook up lead and splitter, UK plug to 16A female socket, Euro 2pin to 16A female socket. Hose connections selection of Hoselock including a push on should cover most eventualities.

We now have a PVC so need to be compact, 1 x 15mtr hook up cable, if it don't reach we dont bother. ;)

Expanding hose with various adapters, compact funnel, 2 x 10ltr folding carriers....

We have a standard 25m EHU cable with a two pin adapter for the odd occasion we need one in Europe... And a three pin for the UK.

Water wise, we've got a 5m hose with hoselocks on both ends. An adapter to twist into the van fill with a hoselock connector, so filling can be a one person job. Then a couple of different sized threaded screw to hoselock connectors.

Longer hoses are a pain and very rarely useful as most of the time, you have to drive to the dump and fill anyway. We carried a fold flat for a bit and hated it as they have to be fully unwound to use.

I've always got these in the van and a CEE reel cable and a 10m CEE cable. Hose pipe is a short length of tricoflex and one of those expanding/extending things that I don't really like. Also lots of tap adaptors as I generally leave one attached to a tap somewhere.

25 m hook up cable for this country. A 15 m food grade hose like the Bruner one that doesn’t need to be fully unwound for use. Also an ordinary hose lock expanding hose when extra length required, like filling our van up at home. And a variety of hose pipe ends.

We carry 2 QTY 25m hook up cables.
Don't bother with "food grade" hoses. We use a Hozelock Picoreel hose - 10m long and nice and compact.

I often have lengthy stays with tugger friends so it's handy having plenty of hose. I carry 2 x 50ft and 1 x 20ft so I rarely have to move for water. 2 x 25M EHU cables.

Nobody has mentioned a splitter connection in case you want/need to piggyback off someone else's bollard. Frowned on in the UK by the Elf & Safe Tea brigade.

LOL - aka a 'branchement' in France, which is pretty self explanatory - and may be OK when you know the both the reliability and 'strength' of the supply plus how much need whoever you're sharing it with it, actually has. Otherwise, we can manage without EHU and have always made sure we can, since we bought our first motorhome and precisely why once we swapped the first one we had for another without a microwave, it really didn't bother us since we'd had the first one for 3 years+ and had only used that one about 3 times!

When we toured for a few weeks last year, quite a few sites, mostly in Germany, had moved to pay as you go electricity where you load coins into the bollard. No sharing there!

Up until that point, I hadn't thought about how inefficient 3 way fridges are on mains. It eats through the kWh!

I have a 25m and 15m EHU cable and a watering can to fill. Easier than faffing around with a hose and connectors.

Yes but lots of trips to fill up, connect hose, turn on tap, have beer whilst waiting for water to come back out of tank, full, job done😀

25mt arctic cable , it stays nice and pliable in cold weather

10 mt clear food grade hose, and selection of tap connectors.
It will preserve the quality and integrity of the water as well as keep it safe from contamination, same tyre of hose that is used in your van plumbing.
I would't use garden hose for drinking water.

10 lt water carrier to use when it's easier than moving the van to fill up.

Fiamma grey waste carrier.. again to use when its easier than moving the van and you can't dump in the hedge ...

and last but not least.(dont think it's been mentioned)
10mt of garden hose to run the grey waste from the waste tank into the hedge on CLs that allow it.
I connect this to the waste outlet and leave it open.. this dribbles the waste water into the hedgerow rather than dumping a big load all at once ..

How many watering cans is 120 litres?

very rare I run out of water,so top up at every opportunity, just like when you empty the cassette, empty at every opportunity. Usually only takes about 6 to 8 to refill. I can of done that in the time it takes to use a hose, getting it out, sorting right adapter, then folding it away again.
Good job we are not all the same eh (y)

I've just watched a chap make several runs to the tap with a 5 gallon jerry can and a watering can then keep refilling the watering can then pour it into the tank then do another trip, i don't know why he didn't just drive over to the service point, maybe it was a fitness thing or he didn't have a hose.

Yes to grey drain hose except our is the corrugated stuff you can get. Need to get correct diameter for waste outlet. Not all are the same!

Apart from a26amp cable get a short cable made up 26amp with live / neutral reversed .I had to use mine at one site in France this year ensures that live neutral are internally correct also you need a plug to detect correct earth/live/neutral
