I have a BMW G310R which will fit in the garage of my Hymer, but thinking of changing it for the SH300, but my concern is that it appears to be longer.
Can I just ask of someone who has one, which part sticks out the most at the back, the rear rack or the rear mudflap, if its the mudguard I'm thinking there will be a bit if 'give' but not the rack.

Dont have one but it looks like the mudflap

Yes it does look that way in that picture, will have to get myself down to the local Honda dealer with a tape measure :)

I have a Pilote 650 on a wide chassis and can get a Yamaha T max in the boot so to speak but have to remove screen and mirrors its about the same size as a Sh300 If you can afford it measure the Honda, measure the Yamaha and go for the Yam they are absolutely brilliant, upside down forks, geodetic chassis, radial twin front discs and go like sh*t off a shovel upto about 75mph top out about 115mph where legal and rock steady. It will and does embarrass the big boys on their toys. Look at Europe and they love the big scooters, me? I spent 25 years riding bikes for a living as a Police motorcyclist/ traffic cop and doing road testing and racing for bike magazines ( you don't think they did it all themselves did you?) and hand on heart the T max is the best urban/up to 250 miles in a day bike I have ever ridden they are brilliant far better than any BMW GS or Triumph Explorer thingy and that is from a dyed in the wool proper biker,( over 50 years riding and falling off the dammed things!) see what MCN journalist John Robinson says ..............yes he agrees take the prejudiced specs off and give one a test ride You won't be disappointed and it may fit in your boot!

Hi, I dont doubt what you say about the T-max, but its longer & heavier than the SH300 and about twice the price! And by the way, did 39 years in the Job myself. ;)

Duly noted and if you get the chance just take one out..........they are so much underrated!

The Honda SH300i (2012 brochure) has an overall length of 2098mm, say 210cm. My internal garage width is 219cm.

I doubt the later incarnations have changed much in terms of length.

2019 brochure
Overall length:2,131 mm (83.9 inches)

Went out to local dealer and measured, could have saved 50mm by cutting off the most rearward part of the mudguard, but still another 50mm too long for my garage, looks like I'll either keep the G310R or maybe settle for a 125cc (:
