I’m off nearly the whole of August can anyone recommend somewhere to tour that isn’t affected by the school holiday exodus?
Alex

Scottish schools go back half way through August, we often go there starting at August BH for a couple of weeks

Ireland North or South and you could nip over from Cairnryan, it’s never busy apart from Dublin and Belfast

I hear the Moon is nice at that time of year, if not a little dusty.

Full of Aliens, they are off school in August as well.
How do you know?
On a serious note, if the OP lives in Scotland and very Northerly based, I would look at Iceland.
A fantastic country, sparse and dramatic in parts, hospitable in others and fantastically expensive.
What's not to like?

Germany is quite good in August because they re mostly on holidays in other countries. France works because the Aires tend to be quieter - families nicking Grandpere's Mh and going to Camping with animation.
