Hobby Toskana 750
Exp
Since 2019
Hello, can I ask a favour please?

I have a 2013 Hobby Toskana 750 motorhome and I'm trying to find some window brackets for the lounge. They don't 'catch' and stay open.

I was given this link to ambergate caravans but they have stopped trading. I phoned the alternative contact (HOBBY GBI) and pressed '1' for spares, then transferred to 'trade parts express' but this goes to answerphone.

Do you know the best way to source spares for Hobby motorhomes please?

many thanks Russ

They won't be unique to Hobby,is there a name on the window? just google 'motorhome window stays' click on images and search away👍

From what I remember both our Hobbies had Dometic/Seitz windows.

I used to have a 2012 750 and when the windows didn’t want to catch I have a vague memory of removing the arms and washing them in soapy water. They then caught again alright. Might save you the cost of what are probably going to be expensive spares.

Hi I’m in the van now. The windows are ‘para design’ but “Polyfix” and “polyplastic” window arms don’t seem to have the right ‘ends’? Any ideas please?

im trying to upload a picture that is 1.6 Meg in size but it says its still too big?

Hi Russ, try E S Hartley ltd. They are the main Hobby importers. I've order parts from there Ellesmere Port branch and found them very helpful. Tel 0151 350 6870.

I take it you mean the arms don't catch into the open position and stay open?

Mine works after opening fully out then push up again close down to where you want it, push up again and it stays.

Common I have found on this type. Wd 40 helps.

You can swap for ones with a turn screw on the arms.

hello jolly roger...

"You can swap for ones with a turn screw on the arms."

so...the handle is at the bottom of the bracket. The 'fixing to the van' is at the top.

The product you send me will still fit 'at the top' you think? The 3rd photo i attached above.

If yes then its much better, because you use a turn screw.

You would have to compare that one yourself re catch and length.

If you're a Facebook user there is a special page for Hobby owners, of which I am one where you can get specialist information and advice from fellow Hobby owners.

Just looking through my old threads...it took ages to find this, so if you need any Hobby spare parts this is the best email address to try...drew a blank for a long time but these guys are the official suppliers, reply straight away and order the parts from Germany...took about 3 weeks to arrive...

Did you solve your window stay problem?
I remember a quick fix is half a clothes peg, just wide enough to slot in the slide to keep window open enough.
Funny how you remember things 😁
