I have the above camera which works through the Blaupunkt head unit but it shows parking guide lines which I dont want. I have exposed the wiring at the camera as the supply cable is not accessible from the outside or inside ( as far as I can see/find).
The attached photo shows the colours of the wires as blue, green and a white sheathed cable.
I would assume that one is the cable that puts out the feed of the parking lines ? Anyone know which please?

I would have thought the parking lines was a software thing and not through a wire…🤷🏼‍♂️

So what software would it be then? The Blaupunkt unit as far as I can see doesn't have any setting for it. I also tried using a separate monitor but the parking lines were on that as well thats why I thought it would be in the camera signal. Many cameras now have instructions to cut a particular cable to stop the lines and mirror imaging.

You could be right, mine was only a guess…🤷🏼‍♂️

I should have been a detective! I decided to try and determine what make my camera was and found out it is a Waeco Perfectview CAM 18. Then I found the relevant instructions and found this,

What ever you do don’t cut the red one…..🤯😉

Don’t have a red but it’s not a bomb!
I have just realised that the Waeco diagram doesn’t mention blue but that’s the only colour besides the white cable I have. So do I try cutting that one ?
I have searched for colours of Waeco cable without success.

I guess you could try cutting each one in turn, if it doesn’t work you can rejoin it…

I have done some more digging today and realised that the loops shown by Waeco are close to the connecting plugs. However I cant get access to them as far as I can see.
Im tempted to dump the Blaupunkt head unit and run new cable from back to front.

As it happens my rear camera has given up today… I’ll have to look at it tomorrow…🤔

Fixed it, I had a spare system for an older van that I never got around to fitting and it’s exactly the same on my present van, after changing almost all the bits (wireless) I discovered it was a broken wire in the rear transmitter…👍🏼

Well done, I spent a couple of hours trying to trace the cable route from front to back.
Not conclusive but minor surgery planned for today!

Success, well partly.
I drilled a hole behind the high level brake light and inserted my Chinese endoscope. Found the cable and the loops so now need to hook the cable and snip the loop all through a 10mm hole !

Simple answer No. I dont want my view obscured by a collection of multi coloured dots and dashes as I wont be using it for reversing more as a rear view camera.
