Full time from 2015 - 2023 just short trips now for a while.
Hi All,
I've got my MOT this week and just discovered the upper brake light is out.
Not able to find one with my regular sources, so hoping for some pointers
Thanks in advance
Steve

Oh ..it's a Hymer B584 2001

It isn’t a testable item so no need to worry
Edit to say that it should be disconnected too, to meet the exact regulations but the tester cannot dismantle to prove if wired up.

Three quarters of my LEDs were blown. I took it off, removed all the moss and crud. Eventually found a model number and make. Scoured the internet. Found it and winced at the price. Spent a couple of hours trying to find an alternative, but realising that it's effectively moulded in, so I have no choice. And paid £60 for a random European company for an identical replacement.

Quit common to loose a few lights which I did, but maybe all out suggests a loss of connection.
Found replacement 370mm hella for Homer on ebay

Well that's good news, thanks Darby
Ill let everyone know how it pans out 🤔

A high-level third brake light is considered optional, but if one is fitted and connected it must work for an MOT pass.

I had a Nissan Navara with a third brake light that packed up. At the next MOT my friendly MOT tester handed my a screwdriver and told me that he could not fail what was not there, so I unscrew it, took it off and got a pass.

Northernraider removed that brake light of his Hymer with no issues.
Same as the headlight adjuster, mine doesn’t work , so I removed the switch knob and put a blanking plate over it with no issues.

As advised, I've disconnected it, but it's left a big hole, would it be ok to now duck tape it for the test, or leave it open I've got the part details off the back of the light, so I will try locate one.
